As a child sponsor. your monthly sponsorship gift of $20 will provide a child - and others in his/her community- with life changing basics like: clean water, nutritious foods, healthcare, education,
spiritual nurture and more.
You help create a lasting change in a child's life and people in his/her community.
The child receives:

Feeding Program
It is not easy for a child to learn their ABC s while their little tummies are empty. Strong Roots Ministry provides a nutritional lunch 3 times a week to the undernourished children of Yapak Elementary School. The Gleaners Society of Abbotsford, B.C. was kind enough to provide us with dried vegetables and fruits. We then use this and add chicken as protein, more vegetables and many other ingredients to make it tasty and served over rice.
The results are less school absentees, healthier and happier children and kids that are more willing to study harder.
The cost of running this program is just $15 per day.Please let us know if you are willing to sponsor a day, week , or a month of our feeding program.

Sunday School
Singing songs, listening to bible stories, doing arts and crafts are the highlights that the children enjoy at Sunday School. There are approximately 65 kids that attend our two sites. There are more possible sites that are wanting us to start a Sunday School but we lack workers to do it.
Mobile Library
The Rotary Club of Boracay have allowed us to their Mobile Library to service the community of Yapak. Our families and friends overseas have generously donated books to lend to our neighborhood. The children always look forward in seeing the blue multicab so that they can borrow new books to read. Many of the adults are starting to utilize the library as well; borrowing dictionaries, recipe books,bibles and non fiction story books. There are about 80 users in the 5 library stops. We are in need of children's story books (ie.. Dr. Seuss, Disney, Curious George,etc). Please let us know if you can be of help.
